Moss Side Leisure Centre – The Moss Side leisure centre features two 25 metre pools, each with six lanes. These pools are perfect for swimming a few relaxing lengths as well as getting in a fast-paced workout. Moss Side also has a teaching pool for those just starting out.

Y Club – The Castlefield based Y Club is the largest gym and fitness centre in Manchester City Centre. Arcadia Library & Leisure Centre – This 25 metre pool is an excellent sport to get a quick weekday workout or to come for a longer training session over the weekend.

Manchester Aquatic Centre – Of course, no list of swimming pools in Manchester would be complete without the area’s most prominent swimming facility – The Manchester Aquatic Centre! Like many of the gym and leisure centre pools mentioned above, the Manchester Aquatic Centre (the MAC) has a mix of pools for fitness, recreation, and even competition.

This impressive aquatic complex boats two 50 metre pools with moveable floors. It also has a separate training pool that can be divided into two 25 metre training pools. It also has a 5.1 metre deep diving pool as well as a shallow leisure pool with two water flumes and two bubble pools.

With all of these features, the MAC is one of the best swimming pools in Greater Manchester. Whether for fitness, fun or both, the MAC is definitely worth a visit!

Withington Baths– This pool proudly holds the title of ‘Manchester’s last working Edwardian Pool.’ Originally built in 1913, this 23 metre pool was preserved due to community efforts after the city council closed it in 2015. It is now is fully functional for lap swimming and the venue also has a gym and a sauna.
