I taught myself to swim aged 12, where I joined a local Swimming Group with them I became a pool helper aged 15 and then progressed to Assistant Teacher and when I became able aFull Swim Teacher.
Teaching swimming for me is a calling. I would not want anyone to feel like I did aged 12 unable to swim with my friends. I believe it is never too late to learn.
In 2022 I became a qualified Baby Teacher and this year (2025) I successfully achieved my RLSS Level 3 Pool Lifeguard 25 years after I last gained the award.
