Hi I’m Amy and I’ve been teaching swimming now for 11 years.
I started swimming at a very early age and was part of the Stockport Metro team at age 10. I completed my teaching qualification as soon as I was old enough to do so and started my career as soon as I was qualified. I have both knowledge and experience of teaching from infants right through to adults of all abilities, including those with special needs and learning disabilities.
The main thing which is important for me is ensuring that not only do my clients learn in their session they also have fun, feel comfortable and safe the whole time they are with us. From a personal point of view the sense of achievement I feel when I see one of my clients achieve their targets is second to none.
My approach to teaching varies for each individual learner and I adapt my style to ensure they get the best out of their lessons. Regardless of whether you are a total beginner or someone wishing to improve their technique I will always go the extra mile to ensure you reach your goals!

Life changing ! I am 57 and only ever been able to swim as far as I could hold my breath despite trying different types of classes, etc. Within a few lessons Amy has managed to get me swimming a full 20m and instilled a technique that will allow me to improve further. Amy’s teaching has been very specific to my requirements and I don’t think I would have been able to get to this stage without her help. I would strongly recommend Amy if you are like me and want to fulfil a lifelong ambition.

My 3 year old son enjoys his swimming lessons with Amy Lee. She is an excellent friendly
teacher who is always patient and
kind to my son during the session. I wish her all the best in her career and would definitely recommend her to all family and friends who are interested in taking some swimming lessons.

Life Changing ! Started off as a non swimmer who suffered bad anxiety due to a bad past experience when I was younger. I never fort il be able to get back in a pool but Amy changed that ! She gave me so much confidence and self believe what I never fort I’ll get back ! She just an amazing swim teacher with so much patience and understanding . I really couldn’t of asked for a better swimming teacher to start my swim journey with . I feel so much comfortable and confident in the water than ever before now in my swimming and can finally enjoy being in the pool with my two children swimming instead of sitting on the side watching . Xx

So pleased to have found Amy @ Swim Now Sale. She has had a huge impact on my sons swimming ability in only a few weeks. She has a great approach for children - she’s kind, encouraging and makes it fun. But equally knows when to give them a gentle push to overcome any hesitation. Thank you Amy.
My daughter has been having 1:1 lessons with Amy in Sale. My little girl absolutely loves her swimming lessons! Amy is patient and kind, always pushing her to reach her full potential. Amy is a great teacher and has been teaching my twin 5 year old daughters for 6 weeks. They had never had a swimming lesson before but the pace of progress is great to see. Amy is very encouraging which has helped them overcome initial worries in the water. The girls love their swimming lesson and are enjoying swimming, which is exactly what I wanted to see.
Amy at Swim Now is a fantastic teacher and my son absolutely loves his swimming lessons with her. My son lost his confidence following an incident during group swimming lessons and with the help of Amy at Swim Now, he has regained his confidence. He is making excellent progress and most importantly is enjoying swimming again. I can highly recommend both Amy and Swim Now.
Just want to say how great Amy Lee has been at Swim Now with my 6 year old on the autistic spectrum and some sensory issues, he’s doing do well and she’s been great with him, well worth the investment!

We came to Swim Now after a poor experience at local classes. Our 4 year old Daughter was really scared of the water initially, but after around 5-6 lessons we have turned a corner. Amy-Lee has been an amazing instructor, who is patient and empathetic and has has worked her magic in building confidence in the water with our Daughter. I cannot recommended Amy-Lee enough and we are so happy we chose one on one lessons.
Amy has been fab with my 7 year son Louie. He quickly overcame his fear of swimming and its now one of his favourite activities to do. Amy is patient, calm and reassuring with Louie and gives clear instructions whilst also making it fun.
Amy is not just great instructor but also very good motivator. She quickly identified my weak and strong points and helped me able to swim. I am a lot more confident and stronger in water than I was 2 months ago. I will surely recommend swim now as 1-2-1 training does help you more than group training.

My boys adore their lessons with instructor Amy-Lee. She is extremely kind and patient yet fun whilst also being an excellent teacher. In just a few weeks of lessons with her, they have both improved already. We are really happy to have found Amy-Lee and are keen to continue our lessons with her.
When I first enquired about swim now I thought that's too expensive but I decided to go for it because I was tired of taking my daughter swimming and stand there while she swims. I met Amy,my swimming instructor,she's so calm reassuring and approachable. That made me trust her and trust myself in the water. She has given methe confidence and the boost that I needed. Amy is an amazing swimming instructor and an incredible person. My daughter has met Amy and she loves Amy too.

Amy-Lee made me feel so welcome from our first lesson. She put me to ease and made me so comfortable in the water without making me do something I wasn’t happy to do. I feel I have made a huge improvement from when I first started and am looking forward to all the things I am still going to learn. I can’t believe I didn’t know how or what to actually do in the water even though I see it all the time from other people. The technique of breathing in the water, taking a breath and kicking my legs is something I never thought I’d be doing. Without Amy-Lee I wouldn’t be where I am today and massively recommend her to anybody wanting to learn.
A particular call out here to Amy-Lee my instructor. Firstly, however, I'd like to say the sign up and after sales service has been excellent too. However the real difference is the experience and careful attention of the instructor. My instructor, Amy-Lee, has thought hard about how to introduce me to swimming. She has worked to understand my fears and provides constant assurance as well as ways to get through them. I've come to trust how she teaches me and she is clear when I am making progress and why that matters. I feel confident I will learn to swim well with Amy-Lee and that's the first time I have been able to say that and I'm 54.
Booked my granddaughter (Niamh age 6) in for swimming lessons with Amy. She absolutely loves the lessons, her confidence has grown so much. I can’t praise Amy enough she is so inspiring and brilliant with children. Niamh doesn’t need reminding when it’s her swimming day!
Niamh says- it is amazing because Amy helps me a lot, if I get something wrong Amy tells me how to do it and then I am able to do it right. I really like doing the pencil float and I have learnt how to swim and how to not hold my nose when I’m swimming and it’s harder when you flap your arms which is what I used to do. Amy is the best swimming teacher and very kind and always helps you. Xx
Although this is a relatively expensive service, what price safety? This is good value for money, one to one tuition from an excellent tutor (Amy-Lee in Cheshire). My son had an unpleasant experience during a group swimming lesson as a child and unfortunately it hampered further learning, until now he’s mature enough at 17, to rationalise the need to be safe and confident. He’s learning breathing techniques, strokes and style in a way that means he will exceed mere competence. His confidence in water has soared; he now has a healthy enthusiasm for taking part in swimming and water-based activities that he previously counted himself out of. As a parent, I can’t recommend the service & Amy-Lee in particular, highly enough.
