Gareth – Senior Sales Exec

Hi I’m Gareth and my swimming journey started when I was about 7 years old, my 3 older brothers were all very keen swimmers so this had a massive influence on me right from the start. I trained and competed all my life but my swimming career really took off when I was about 19 when I started to make national finals and compete for medals. I guess this taught me the real value in trusting the process and having patience, not everything happens over night and sometimes you just have to keep the faith and believe in what you’re doing.

Two of my favourite achievements in swimming have got to be competing at European Juniors in Serbia and Commonwealth Games in Scotland. Something I’ll remember forever. I retired from Swimming in 2015 and wanted to do something new, so I saved up a bit of money and flew to Sydney and started travelling.

In 2018 I came back home and Alistair my older brother convinced me to join the Swim Now team when we had about 5 venues. Since then we’ve grown so much and it’s been incredible to see us become what we are today! My main role is looking after our new clients and introducing them to our service, I love listening to their goals and getting them set up with a coach on a day and time that suits them best.
