I first started learning how to swim in primary school. At first I really hated it but it was something that started to grow on me. I went through many different swim schools meaning that I was exposed to a whole manner of exercises and teaching styles. However I feel that these two things make me perfect as a swimming teacher. I can empathise very well with those who may not be as confident with the water or downright hate it (since I once was the one in that situation), and I can very easily vary teaching style depending on who I am teaching because no one learns the same way.
I feel that swimming is a very important part of life. You could be a professional swimmer or a beginner, or just want it just in case the worst happened on holiday. It is one of those things that everyone should know.
I am very flexible to cater your lessons around the specific things you want to achieve – such as learning a specific stroke or even just becoming more confident with the water.
For me, swimming became a very important part of my life. Not because I wanted to become a professional but because so many of the things I do involve it to some degree. My old job as a lifeguard required it, I do a lot of boating on rivers and the sea and sometimes kayak with friends. Swimming isn’t just about competitiveness, it can help you to achieve other things and can also be something to just take your mind off the stresses we face in our lives daily.
